Dr Madhurima Vardhan is an Assistant Professor in Informatics at Indiana University Bloomington and the Principal Investigator of the Computational Thinking Laboratory. A biomedical scientist by training (Ph.D., Duke University), she specializes in advancing digital health by leveraging generative AI, high-performance computing, physics-based modeling. She brings extensive experience serving as an Assistant Computational Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory and Visiting Research Faculty at Google Research. Her research has been supported by highly competitive awards, including the ACM-IEEE CS George Michael Memorial HPC Fellowship, the American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship, and the Aleane Webber Dissertation Research Fellowship and was recognized as a Rising Star in Computational and Data Sciences and Young Researcher in the 10th Heidelberg Laureate Forum.
